ZONING TECHNICIAN, Caroline County, VA Caroline County, Virginia is seeking to fill the position of Zoning Technician. This position performs responsible technical work in reviewing building and zoning permits and enforcing zoning, environmental and land use regulations. Requires a general knowledge of municipal ordinances governing zoning and related codes; general knowledge of routine legal procedures as related to the enforcement of laws and ordinances; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with property owners, building contractors, County officials and the general public; ability to enforce ordinances and regulations with firmness, tack and impartiality. Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school supplemented by courses in planning, law enforcement, building inspection and code administration. Some experience in code enforcement preferred. Must possess a valid appropriate drivers license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia. The salary range for this position is $25,919 37,758.
